Red Oak Lumber

Red Oak is a deciduous tree known for its broad, rounded shape, often growing beyond 75 feet tall. Its leaves turn vibrant red in autumn, and it thrives in moist, well-drained soils across eastern North America.

Red oak lumber is desired for its strength, durability, and ease of machining. The wood has a coarse texture and a color ranging from light tan to pink with a reddish tinge, making it ideal for furniture, flooring, and interior joinery.

Other Hardwoods We Offer

Our Commitment to Sustainability

Since trees take decades to reach maturity, we appreciate that the trees we harvest are there because of people who came before us. For that reason, we see ourselves as a vital link in the forests of tomorrow. We’vee inherited rich resources, and we are committed to making sure that the next generation is blessed with healthy forests as well.

Nearly all of our lumber comes from Stoltzfus Forest Products, our sister company. Like us, they are committed to sustainability, and their foresters and crews ensure that woodlands are well cared for through such practices as proper tree selection and showing respect for the soil and remaining trees during a harvest.

By sourcing our lumber from our sister company, we can have every confidence that we are doing our part for the forest of the future.

Lumber for today, forests for tomorrow.
