Yellow Poplar Lumber
As a tree, the yellow poplar is a large deciduous species known for its tulip-like flowers and distinctive leaves, growing more than 100 feet tall with a straight, limb-free bole, and preferring deep, moist soils in Eastern North America.
As lumber, yellow poplar is valued for its light color, fine grain, and ease of working, though it is relatively soft and less dense, making it suitable for furniture and millwork.

Our Commitment to Sustainability
Since trees take decades to reach maturity, we appreciate that the trees we harvest are there because of people who came before us. For that reason, we see ourselves as a vital link in the forests of tomorrow. We’vee inherited rich resources, and we are committed to making sure that the next generation is blessed with healthy forests as well.
Nearly all of our lumber comes from Stoltzfus Forest Products, our sister company. Like us, they are committed to sustainability, and their foresters and crews ensure that woodlands are well cared for through such practices as proper tree selection and showing respect for the soil and remaining trees during a harvest.
By sourcing our lumber from our sister company, we can have every confidence that we are doing our part for the forest of the future.
Lumber for today, forests for tomorrow.
